Write a rate-review note to existing clients from your new rate and your contract notice
The problem
The survey says 43% of respondents do not feel they charge enough and the guidance says to review rates annually. The difficulty is telling a regular client the rate is going up without apologising or breaking the notice terms in your agreement. AI can turn your own new rate, start date and the notice terms you copy out into a short, plain message for each type of client, and a log of who has been told. It cannot say whether you may change the rate, how much notice is needed or what the market pays: your contract and, if unclear, your solicitor say that.
What AI does
AI drafts short, confident notes telling regular clients about your new rate, with a version for each client group you set. Your rate, start date and notice terms come from you, and the notes make no claims about the market.
Time
The steps, in short
- Set your new rate and start date from your own sums.
- Check each client's notice terms, and ask your solicitor if they are unclear.
- Group your clients and have AI draft a note for each group.
- Remove any apology or market claim, send each note on time, and log replies.
