Put together a parent pack that has what the rules say parents must receive
The problem
A welcome pack that has everything in one place saves repeated questions, and the compulsory Childcare Register guidance says childminders on that register must give parents details of the children's activities, copies of written policies and information about Ofsted's role. The EYFS framework has its own requirements, so check both. A checklist-based pack means nothing is forgotten.
What AI does
AI turns your notes on what the official guidance says parents must receive, plus your own extras, into a list of pack contents and a brief letter welcoming new families. You check the pack is complete and current (England).
Time
The steps, in short
- Read the official guidance on what parents must be given.
- List the extra documents you want to include.
- Have AI draft the contents list and the welcome note.
- Check everything required is there and current, and hand it over before a child's first day.
