Write up your own risk checks for the home and outings
The problem
You already look for hazards without thinking: the gate, the stairs, the pond at the park. Writing those checks into a short note means you can show your thinking, and remember to repeat it when something changes.
What AI does
AI lays out the notes from your own walk-round of the house, garden or route for an outing as a simple risk table. It adds no hazards or judgements: you compare it with your real practice and with the official framework (England).
Time
The steps, in short
- Walk round and note each hazard, who could be affected and your control for it.
- Leave out children's names and pictures.
- Have AI lay your notes out as a table.
- Check it against what you really do, date it, and review it when things change.
A short sample prompt
I'm a childminder in England. Lay out my own notes from checking [place] as a simple risk table, one row per hazard. Use only my notes and add no hazards or controls of your own. Notes: [paste]
