Write a one-page credentials note for landlords and letting agents from your own certificates and your scheme rules
The problem
Landlords and agents increasingly ask who is doing the EICR and whether they are qualified. From 1 October 2026 the revised Electrotechnical Assessment Specification applies to the certification schemes NICEIC and NAPIT: people who carry out or are responsible for periodic inspection and testing must hold an acceptable Level 3 qualification, show at least two years' experience and show ongoing CPD. That is a scheme rule, not the law: the landlord regulations require a "qualified person", meaning a person competent to do the work. AI can lay your own facts out as a tidy one-pager. It cannot check your qualifications or tell anyone what the law requires.
What AI does
AI lays out the facts from your own certificates and scheme paperwork as a tidy one-page note for landlords and letting agents. It cannot check your qualifications or say what the law requires, and you add your membership and certificate details yourself.
Time
The steps, in short
- Read your own scheme's current page on its requirements.
- List your qualifications and work exactly as your paperwork shows them.
- Have AI arrange them into a one-page note.
- Add your numbers by hand and check every line against your paperwork and your scheme's page.
A short sample prompt
Lay out a one-page note for landlords and letting agents using only these facts from my own paperwork: [scheme, qualification titles, work covered, CPD]. Where a fact is missing write [OWNER TO ADD]. Make no claims about the law.
