Reply to a shoot enquiry with the right package in 5 minutes
Couples and clients usually book whoever replies first with a clear answer. A fast, specific reply beats a PDF price list.
Steps
- Write your packages down once in a note on your phone: what each includes, hours of coverage, number of edited images, delivery time and price.
- Copy the enquiry text. Remove the client's surname, phone number and email before you paste it anywhere.
- Paste the prompt below into your AI tool, then paste your package note and the enquiry where shown.
- Check the package it picked actually fits their date, hours and budget. Change it if not.
- Send the reply from your own email or booking system, and add a real line about their venue or idea.
The exact prompt
You are helping a [UK] [wedding / portrait / commercial] photographer reply to a new enquiry. Plain [British] English, warm but not gushing, under 180 words. 1. Thank them and repeat back the key facts (date, location, type of shoot) so they know I read it. 2. Recommend ONE package from my list below that best fits, and say why in one sentence. Mention one alternative only if it clearly fits better on budget. 3. Use ONLY the prices and inclusions in my list. If something they asked about isn't in my list, write [CHECK: not in packages] instead of inventing it. 4. Next step: [e.g. a 15-minute call / booking link / 25% retainer to hold the date]. Do not promise date availability; write [CONFIRM DATE IS FREE]. My packages: [paste your package note] Their enquiry: [paste enquiry, personal details removed]
